Analysis
For this standard, I chose my literature circle lesson plans because they are a great example of a specific instructional strategy. When creating the lesson, I incorporated student participation throughout the entirety of the Literature Circles. The students would be introduced different roles and they would be responsible for that job while reading the story. These roles helped the students be in charge of the group discussion that took place each day. Each role had the students think critically about the book and it had them think differently about each part of the story. These roles helped the students stay motivated while reading the book. The students were then also engaged in their discussion after reading a chapter. This is a great strategy for older students to become responsible for their learning and for them to stay engaged in their reading.
