Guided Discovery
Guided discovery is a strategy that generates interest and excitement about classroom resources. This also helps students explore and it then stimulates thinking about using materials. This is important for students to do because it is a hands on method to become exposed to the materials they will use every day. In my own classroom I will not use this method for every new activity, material, or area. Instead, I will use this strategy selectively and with only a few of the new materials or areas that I am introducing. I will use this strategy when I am encouraging my student’s curiosity.
