Collaborative Problem Solving
Collaborative problem solving is an effective way for students and teachers to discuss the behavior and how they can resolve the situation. This strategy can help the teacher learn the reason for the behavior and how to make sense of it. Although the student will help in the discussion and choice of a consequence, it is important for the teacher to help ensure that the consequence is a logical one. This will help the student to make better choices next time they are faced with a difficult choice.
