Interactive Modeling
Interactive modeling is a seven step process that I find very beneficial for students, especially in the first six weeks of school. For example, interactive modeling can help teach procedures and exactly how they should be done. This is why it is important to try interactive modeling in the beginning of the year so the students can properly follow the expectations of the procedures taught. Several examples that could be used through interactive modeling could include, walking in the hall, using the restroom, and arrival and dismissal routines. However interactive modeling does take time but it saves time in the long run because the students are learning the exact expectations of the procedure and the teacher will not have to take as much time to redirect.
