Synthesis
Using the "I Do, We Do, You Do" format for my lesson plans seemed to be quite beneficial for these students. This type of format allowed the students to have a variety of ways to learn and practice the new concept that was being taught. It also allowed students to be actively engaged in their own learning. Due to this variety, the students were able to grasp the concept and excel at it.
If I were to structure this lesson differently, I would change the layout of the centers. This part of the lesson ended up being somewhat disorganized. I would establish the expectations of centers earlier in the year and we would practice this concept more thoroughly before starting them.
I also feel that while constructing lesson plans, I feel as if I have grown personally. I say this because I think that after having to write even more lesson plans, I have gotten more experience and I have improved my writing within them.
